An Experienced Psychologist and Coach with a Passion for Empowering Relationships and Wellbeing

Georgina’s qualifications are a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with Honours, a Masters of Science in Applied Psychotherapy and a Masters of Science in Coaching Psychology.
Georgina has over 17 years experience as a psychologist, working with adults, couples, children, adolescents and families both in private and organisational settings. Georgina provides both short term and longer term therapy.
Her key areas of expertise include relationships, self worth, stress management, anxiety, depression, life passages/existential issues, couple and family therapy, executive coaching and health coaching.
Georgina uses a variety of therapeutic modalities including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Schema Therapy and Family Systems Therapy. She embeds these approaches in a therapeutic relationship with her clients, which she sees as one of the most effective catalysts for driving change. She advocates for the collaborative process between the therapist and client and is committed to the highest standards of professional ethics and confidentiality which underpins all therapy.
Georgina teaches meditation and mindfulness, as well the importance of maintaining heath, wellbeing and social participation, engaging the whole person in therapy.
Relationship issues that Georgina works with include relationships with partners, family members, friends and colleagues. Her couples work focusses on rebuilding intimacy, trust, communication and collaboration. Georgina has completed clinical training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy. She works with families during separation as a mediator to effect positive outcome during challenging times. She also works with troubled teenagers within the family context.
Georgina has experience in organisational psychology and continues to offer counselling under the Employee Assistance Programme (EAP), helping individuals at a career crossroad and with stress management. She has supervised rehabilitation counsellors in their career paths. Georgina has also volunteered for years as a counsellor at Lifeline and Mission Australia helping the socially disadvantaged.
Georgina is empathic and personable, grounded in an attuned understanding of the realities of people’s lives and she is passionate about helping people, using evidence based interventions based on the latest psychological research.
Georgina is fully registered with the Psychology Board of Australia and is a member of the Australian Psychological Society.
